music makes the people come together

I’ve been sitting here for quite a while, just having my iTunes on shuffle. Then I came across a song that I downloaded a few weeks ago. It’s called “Bette Davis Eyes” and it’s by Leighton Meester (Blair on Gossip Girl if you don’t reconize the name). Suddenly I LOVED the song so much, I listened to it probably 20 times in a row. She really is a great singer, and I didn’t expect her to be that good. Cause I saw her on Ellen one day, and Leighton said she had an album coming out, and I thought that it probably wouldn’t be that good, but I was wrong. The song is great, and so is her voice. I’m so excited for an album for her! Check out the song under. What’s you favorite musician and song at the moment?

hey, i put some new shoes on..

…and suddenly everything’s right! (love the song!).

Today I bought a pair of new shoes. woho. I really needed a new pair. It wasn’t that long ago that I bought a pair of white All Star Converse shoes, but my sister borrowed them, she came home and they were covered in dirt (and she’s 18!). The same thing happened with another pair of shoes. Soo, thanks to my sister, I got new ones today. They’re white Vans, with beige and blue stripes, see the picture under.

Also today – was our last day of school this week! YAY, I’m so excited. Tomorrow is Ascension Day, which means we don’t go to school, so the school decided to take Friday off, aswell. Perfect!
I spent this evening at my friend, Karoline’s house. Marie was also there. We watched the movie “Dan In Real Life“. The film was probably good, but we didn’t pay attention to it. haha. (:

Tomorrow I don’t really have any plans. I might be going to the city with Karoline to look for a costume. You see, we’re going to a costume party to for a friend on Saturday. I was thinking to dress up as Minnie Mouse, but I’m not so sure yet. Any suggestions?

Now – today’s song. I picked “Take Me On The Floor” by The Veronicas. I absolutely LOVE The Veronicas, and this is one of their best songs yet! What do you think about it?

new shoes! sorry, bad picture.

Birthday Girl

.. well, it was three weeks ago. But yesterday (Saturday), I celebrated it with my friends. Me and my best friend Christine celebrated together (her birthday was 18. april). We invited 8 friends and we went out to a restaurant in town. We ate hamburgers and meat (don’t know what..), and it was soooo good. The hamburger from that restaurant is known to be very good, and I agree on that. Well. we were at that restaurant for about two hours, then we took the bus to Christine’s house. There we ate cakes, candy, chips and ice cream. Then we watched the movie Twilight (which I bought on DVD yesterday). Everybody LOVED the movie. Then we went crazy and danced the whole night. It was just so much fun, and It’s been long since I’ve been to a birthday party like that. I also slept over at Christine’s house, and I’ve been hanging out with her all day. Tomorrow I’m going back to school, again… I bet I’ll be tired. yay…. Hope to talk to you soon. BYE!

just one question: how old are you?

school is so cool

Just kidding, school is so NOT cool. I barely have time for anything else now. Today I’ve been sitting for hours writing an English essay about India, reading about India, preparing for two tests and reading Norwegian. Phew, it’s way too much. but, okay, that was all the complaining for today. How was YOUR day?

Mine was okay. I’ve been pretty tired, like I always am on Mondays, but everything else was just OK. Nothing special, really.

Hm..not much to write. SEE, this is what happens when I blog often! haha.
But like I promised, I’ll post a song this time, too. Today it’s: Paranoid by The Jonas Brothers. I chose this one, because it’s my favorite song by my favorite band. Easy as that. Enjoy!

Homework... (yes, I like rounded edges on my pictures!)

Norway

just wanted to say a quick CONGRATS to Norway. Today, the 17th of May is Norway’s “birthday”, its national day. This has always been a special day for all Norwegians. We usually walk in loong parades with our schools, jobs, teams etc. This year I walked with my school and we sang songs and waves our flags. After that I went to a friends house, then my dad picked me up, and we went to my uncle’s house to eat. That was a lot of fun. Later we went to the city, and watched the “People Parade” (? – Folketoget). That’s where people walk with their football, handball, dancing, hockey, soccer, tennis ++ teams. That was even more fun, and I saw a lot of people that I know. My 17th of May went great. How was your day, and if you’re from Norway, how did you celebrate?

And also, a big shoutout to Alexander Rybak, from Norway, who won the Eurovision Song Contest yesterday! It was so awesome that Norway won. Everyone was talking about it today, and singing his song Fairytale. Great celebration for Norway! Although, I’m not a big fan of the song. haha. Enjoy it under (:

tv is my best friend

I know it’s yours, too! Everybody is just addicted to their tv. There is so much to watch, for everyone! Weither you like to watch soap opereas, the news, movies, music videos, geography or even commercial, it’s all there! Here in Norway, we have a lot to choose from. Most of the series that are here are American (Gossip Girl, Ugly Betty, One Tree Hill, Desperate Houswives, Top Model, American Idol, Lost, CSI, Prison Break ++) and we love it as much as the Americans do! My personal favorites are One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, American Idol and The Ellen Show. Here in Norway, they only show old episodes of One Tree Hill (like..season 3?), but I watched the newest ones online. Then there’s Gossip Girl, which is about a month behind. I love that show. It’s so addicting. Desperate Housewives is also great, very funny! Not sure how far behind we are here, though. American Idol is also addicting. I absolutely LOVE Adam Lambert! I hope he wins! We’re about three weeks behind on AI. The Ellen Show, however, we’re only 2 weeks behind. That’s pretty cool! Ellen is on at noon everyday, so I can’t watch it then, but I tape it every single day! It’s so much fun, and she always puts a smile on my face! :)
What’s your favorite tv show? Do you watch any of the shows I mentioned?

Desperat Housewives, American Idol, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Ellen DeGeneres Show

Right now I’m just sitting here, being lazy. I should be doing homework. But before I start on that, I wanted to start a “project”. I want to end every post with a song that I like. If you want you can write your opinion about it :)
This time it’ll be “Here In Your Arms” by Hellogoodbye.

I LOVE YOU

yay, yay, yay, yay, YAY! I bought a new laptop! It was about time, by old one was just crap. The keys were broken, the charger didn’t work properly, the internet didn’t work and there was something on the screen, so that I didn’t see everything.. haha. I don’t understand how I could live with that..?! Now, as a part of my confirmation gift, my parents got me it (I picked it out myself). It was between this one (A Compaq Presario CQ60) or a MacBook. My sister has a MacBook, and for a while I was jealous, but I’m not so much anymore. I just can’t get used to it, and it’s also too small for me. So I’m so happy with this one. It’s pretty big, and it has a widescreen and a webcam (it’s almost the same as photobooth?). So I’ve been sitting here for hours, downloading new songs, programs and pictures. It’s taken so long, and I’m still not finished! I still don’t have Photoshop (which I use all the time), but my sister will help me with that later…
What type of computer do you have?

Here’s a few pictures of it:

my baby

yeah…. I used paint, so it’s very unproffesional!

talk to you soon.

It Was PERFECT

Yes, my confirmation this sunday went PERFECT! First we went to a hotel near here (look at the first picture), then we went to my granmother’s house for coffee. At the hotel there was a buffet, so that people could choose what they wanted to eat. There was beef, lamb, meatballs and even hot dogs and chicken nuggets! Then there was also lots of deserts, which was also delicous!

There were about 30 guests there, so the table was looong. haha. At my grandmother’s, parents had written songs for me (very sweet!), and they had made a power-point presentation about me and my life which they also showed on a monitor. After that my mom, grandfather and my best friend held speeches for me. I think I cried for a moment there..! Then I got my presents, and after counting many times, I think it came up to 12 000 NOK (around $2000 and £1200). It was more than expected, and I was beyond happy with my day.

table.

And I have to say that once again I’m extremely sorry for not updating my blog. I keep thinking of it all the time, but I never seem to have time for it, so I’m really sorry. Hopefully I get to post one tomorrow! Bye for now.

Movie review: Hannah Montana

Today, me and a bunch of friends went to see Hannah Montana: The Movie at the movies. It was the premiere here in Norway today. So I thought I’d write a review of it.. :

The movie stars of course Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mitchel Musso, Lucas Till and famous people like Tyra Banks, Taylor Swift and Vanessa Williams appeared aswell.

Summary: When Miley Stewart gets in a shoe fight with Tyra Banks, dad Robbie Ray has had enough of her behaviour, and takes her with him to her home in Tennessee. Miley is upset about it, but finds out that this is her home. She finds herself, and her double-life gets her in a lot of trouble. Now she has to decied who to be, Miley or Hannah..?

What did I think of it? I thought the movie was much better than I had expected! Miley was brilliant, and you can tell that she has grown as an actress. I also liked that they filmed in a lot of different places, I’m always used to see them at home in Malibu, but here they are in many different places, and that makes it seem more real. Don’t ask why, but that’s just what I think. The story was OK. Maybe a shoe fight wasn’t a very good reason for Robbie to skip a New York trip..? But I thought everything else was pretty good!

Well, the movie was probably made for kids, but I still liked it, though I’ve seen better films before. So I’ll give the movie a good 4.
